Leadership

Our work is grounded in the idea that strategy drives outcomes. Commercial disputes and governance issues are rarely about the surface problem — they are about timing, incentives, information gaps and the decisions made around them. We help clients navigate these moments with structure, insight and a contemporary understanding of how organisations operate and make decisions.

We recognise that outcomes often turn on timing, judgment and the ability to read the dynamics beneath the surface. Our focus is on understanding commercial incentives, anticipating how decisions will play out and identifying the inflection points that matter. This allows us to read the “tea leaves” early — the signals, pressures and patterns that shape how a matter is likely to unfold — and to guide clients with the strategic foresight needed to act deliberately and with confidence

Elias Rizk — Principal & Managing Director

Elias is the Principal and Managing Director of the firm, providing strategic leadership across all areas of the practice and working closely with clients on complex commercial, governance and regulatory matters. His work centres on helping organisations make deliberate, informed decisions in situations where the path forward is uncertain, contested or high‑stakes.

He appears in the County Court of Victoria, Supreme Court of Victoria and Federal Court of Australia, and is often engaged before proceedings begin to assess risk, shape strategy and influence outcomes early. His practice spans commercial disputes, strategic corporate advisory matters and insolvency‑related issues across a wide range of industries and organisational contexts.

Elias brings a strategic, contemporary approach to litigation and governance — one that prioritises clarity, disciplined preparation and decisions that move a matter forward with purpose.

Experience

Elias has worked in senior leadership environments where he contributed to organisational governance, strategic transformation, product development, business development and the delivery of complex legal and educational programs. His work has placed him in discussions that shape strategy, structure and decision‑making at both operational and executive levels.

He has led major projects, collaborated with industry and academic partners, and delivered programs, workshops and seminars to practitioners, organisations and universities. Earlier in his career, he practised in commercial litigation at a national firm, acting in complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

This combination of litigation experience and organisational leadership informs his approach: strategic thinking, clear communication and a focus on decisions that move matters forward.

Elias is regularly engaged by large and recognised brands, national organisations, insolvency practitioners, international companies operating in Australia and regional businesses.

He is a member of the Insolvency Law Committee in the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and holds the Advanced Certification in Insolvency from ARITA.
